| You can treat an infected finger by giving the person antibiotics but if you don't remove the splinter which is causing the problem the infection will just come back again. The same logic
applies on the intellectual level - embarking on a coaching program without uncovering the underlying reason for any problems can mean that you spend a lot of time, money and effort helping your child, yet make little progress with the original problem.
Before we start coaching we do a diagnostic assessment to ascertain your child's level of proficiency on a wide range of skills. As part of this assessment we examine the thinking strategies your child uses to learn with so we can determine the cause of any problems, and then prepare the most appropriate program to fix these problems quickly and easily.
We recommend that all children, whether they appear to have problems with their school work or not, have a complete diagnostic assessment done in junior high school to ensure that they have mastered all the basic skills necessary for success. In our experience, many students who are only getting average marks at school have the potential to do much better but are held back by
weaknesses in some of their basic learning or language skills.
