Basic Skills Programs for All Ages
- Diagnostic Educational Assessment - Before we start tuition we do a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of all basic skills including: thinking, learning, stress management, language and mathematics skills. This enables us to isolate the root causes of any problems so we can target individual needs with a carefully tailored individual program.
- Thinking and Learning Skills - We teach strategies to improve memory, concentration, logical thinking, emotional resilience, and stress management.
- Basic Literacy Skills - Our highly successful Basic Language Skills Program has been running for over 30 years. The Program develops listening, speech, reading, comprehension, writing and spelling skills. It includes a comprehensive course of Phonics using our own innovative multi-media tools such as the award winning BetterThanaBook Enhanced Text©. Our extensive range of language games takes the drudgery out of learning.
- Remedial Language Programs - Our programs are very effective with people who have dyslexia and auditory processing disorder.
- Basic Mathematics - Long-term memory of Maths facts is achieved by using materials which promote understanding, and develop a full range of memory skills. Our extensive range of Maths games makes learning fun.
- Parenting Support - With our help, parents are actively involved with their children in our Basic Skills Programs. We offer telephone support between lessons to help sort out any issues that may arise. This can include things such as attitude or behaviour problems, and school or homework problems.
